Audio Reaction Time Test
Same five-round protocol as the visual test, but the go-signal is a beep. Sound reaches your motor cortex by a shorter route than light — most people react 20–40 ms faster with their ears than their eyes.

Turn your sound on. After a random 1.5–5 second silence, a beep plays — click (or press space) as fast as you can. Five rounds. Click to begin (you'll hear a test beep).
Auditory processing is genuinely faster than visual — roughly 8–10 ms from cochlea to cortex versus 20–40 ms through the retina — which is why sprint starts use a gun rather than a light. Typical averages here run 230–250 ms against ~270 ms visually. Run both tests back to back and compare: if your audio average isn't faster, check for Bluetooth headphones — wireless audio adds 100–300 ms of latency that completely buries the physiological advantage. Wired headphones or speakers give the cleanest measurement.
