5 Second CPS Test
The 5 second test is the crowd favorite: long enough to be a fair measure, short enough to stay fun. If you only compare one score with friends, make it this one. Sustaining your burst speed for a full five seconds is where technique starts to matter.

How to approach the 5 second test
Five seconds sits at the crossover point between burst and rhythm. The winning approach is to open at your genuine top speed for the first two seconds, then consciously lock into a cadence you can hold — most people who fade here never made that mental switch and simply sprinted until their finger seized. Benchmarks: 5–7 CPS is average, 8–9 is good, and 10+ held for the full five seconds usually indicates jitter or butterfly clicking. Check your per-second chart after each run; if second five is more than two clicks below second one, shift a little effort from the start to the finish and your total will rise.
